The problem for most of us in life is that we are too comfortable.
Comfort is an addictive drug.
We are so addicted to comfort that we struggle to step outside of that comfort zone.
And that is probably why some of us make little progress in life.
And that applies very much in the corporate world as well.
Tony Robbins once shared, “In life, you need either inspiration or desperation.”
Prior to #covid19, most businesses are comfortable with having an offline business model. However, when covid hit back in 2020, it forced businesses to re-invent themselves.
In a way, desperation acted as a catalyst that accelerated the transformation of traditional businesses.
Selling durians via e-commerce would be something viewed as ludicrous back in 2019.

However, the needs of consumers have totally evolved in just less than two years, and they are much more receptive to online services today.
In addition, the change in consumers’ mindset has further acted as a springboard, introducing new digital services in the untapped market.
Desperation may be a great motivating factor for progress. However, don’t stay stagnant until it’s too late to make adjustment in your business model.
