Do you know Mark Rothko’s painting, “Untitled (Yellow and Blue)”, which has a striking resemblance to the Ukraine’s flag was sold for $46.5 million?
Design, more than anything, is a subjective topic.
Especially when everyone will have different tastes and opinions.
Of course, no business owner is willing to pay $46.5 million for a design that doesnt help them to grow their business.
However, why is design expensive?
Co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs once said, “The main thing in our design is that we have to make things intuitively obvious”.
Design has to able to communicate, more than words.
The basic inspiration behind creating a great website design is to reinforce your brand and its perceived value in the memories of your consumers.
Moreover, when you are creating a simple ux/ui design, you are amplifying the meaning being conveyed.
It takes a lot more to compress sophisticated thought processes into something easy for consumers to understand though a seemingly simple design.
